An insight into the wonderful yet distopian world of council teens.

WWW: Provided a socially realistic portrail of the demographic previewed.
EBI: Could have showed the opposites sex in the same situation.

Pitch Black Hiest :-  13' //
Two men get high before robbing a bank.
Genre: Crime/Comedy
WWW: How the narrative and situation of the characters naturally produces some good laughs. The developing relationship and chemistry between the two main characters is entertaining to watch.
EBI: More explanation for the final twist.

The grandmother: -  34'
A domestically abused boy harvests a grandmother to care for him.
Genre : Drama/Horror
WWW: The combined aesthetic of an eerie atmosphere created by the make-up, colour grading and ambient sound conveys how much of a living hell the boy's life is in a way that really evokes an emotional response from the spectator - it's horrible to watch
EBI : Not all the scenes seemed entirely relevant to the plot, but were just confusing.

Final Idea Outline

James is farming, and receives a notification on his Futuristic contact lens that he has received a match on dreamland dating. He sits down and says: ”Alexa, make video call”. Alexa replies ”how would you like to look today?” and James customizes his appearance to the person he aspires to look like. He answers the call to a beautiful woman. James delivers a scripted speech and hides the fact he is truly overwhelmed by the girl he is speaking to. Before they could finish their call, James' father comes into the room, and James turns the off the 'video call'. James did not plan to actually meet Josie, but after his father calls him a quitter and sates that he never finishes anything, he decides to prove him wrong and actually go on the date. On the way to the meet location, James meet a woman on the train and coincidentally sits next to her.
